This Place Is Great Where else can you sit down and enjoy great sushi that is resonably priced and have the sushi chef's wife sing blues for your dinning pleasure. [30 Aug 2002 11:48:19] Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: --slick moedee -
Wakefield Has Another Excellent Restaurant We started going to Sushi Island when they had their little store front on Princess St. The new location is gorgeous, the food is really, really, good (compares to the sushi you'd find in Boston), and the owner and his wife are so incredibly welcoming.
All in all, the experience: food, atmosphere, and service are great. [23 May 2003 18:58:13] Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: sushi, goshinko (Japanese pickles) --Anonymous -

I Never Thought I'd Like Sushi My boyfriend said, "You have to try it,"...and now I am hooked! The fish is so fresh, I think it better than some Boston establishments. Great date place with lovely music on the weekends. Major Disappointment Anyone that thinks this place serves up quality sushi doesn't know sushi and apparently doesn't get out much.
Sushi at Sushi Island was flat out bland. The maki's fell apart (sacrilege) and had zero flavor (see a pattern here?). The menu was quite disappointingly uninspired.
I mean they overcooked the edamame.
Sushi Island was a major disappointment. [19 Sep 2006 16:28:04] Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: avocado and salmon salad, chawan mushi --Anonymous -
